Introduction
Tact means being able to maintain good relationships with people and avoid unneeded problems. When we are being tactful, we are courteous, and calm and treat others with dignity, even if we are in a conflict with them.

Critical Thinking
Consider the following situation on your own: You see one of your close friends made a video teasing a student with developmental differences and posted it on social media. The student being made fun of doesn’t know they are being made fun of in the video. What action could you take? What might be the results of your actions?
What do you do? Try to think of a few different things you could do (positive, negative, and neutral). What might the results of your actions be?
-
Collaboration
For a small group, each student presents their ideas to the whole class. Provide opportunity for positive feedback from peers or support if they are struggling to think of ideas.
For a larger group, divide students into small groups and have students present their ideas to the small group. Provide opportunity for positive feedback from peers or support if they are struggling to think of ideas.
