Introduction
Leaders seek responsibility and take responsibility for your actions. For your own growth, you must actively seek out challenging assignments. Use initiative and sound judgment when trying to accomplish jobs that are not required. Seeking responsibilities also means you take responsibility for your actions. You are responsible for all of what your team does or fails to do. Regardless of the actions of your group, the responsibility for decisions and their application falls on you. Stick by your convictions and do what you think is right but accept justified and constructive criticism. Never criticize a member of your team for a failure that is the result of your own mistake.
How might seeking responsibility help you achieve your goals?
What might be some ways to practice being responsibility this week? What might be the outcome?

Critical Thinking
Consider the following situation on your own: You are the leader of the Art Club. One of the local galleries asks your teacher if the Art Club would like to host a student art show and fundraiser for the school. You think it sounds like an amazing opportunity and could be a lot of fun, but the rest of the club thinks it sounds like too much work.
What do you do? Try to think of a few different things you could do (positive, negative, and neutral). What might the results of your actions be?
-
Collaboration
For a small group, each student presents their ideas to the whole class. Provide opportunity for positive feedback from peers or support if they are struggling to think of ideas.
For a larger group, divide students into small groups and have students present their ideas to the small group. Provide opportunity for positive feedback from peers or support if they are struggling to think of ideas.

Application
