Introduction
When you are faced with a situation where you need to make an important decision, do you rely on your basic core values, or do you react? Staying calm can help us respond from our core values and not react. Bearing is the way you conduct and carry yourself. Your manner should reflect alertness, competence, confidence, and control at all times.
Suggestions for Improvement: To develop bearing, you should hold yourself to the highest standards of personal conduct. Never be content with meeting only the minimum requirements, maintaining calm in chaos instills confidence in subordinates, peers, and leadership. Lack of self-control impacts all traits, it shows lack of discipline, disbelief in your ability to operate in chaos and is selfish.

Critical Thinking
Consider the following situation on your own: Two of your friends get in a big fight during lunch at school and they want you to get involved. When you get to your next class, you realize you forgot you had a big test. While you are taking your test, your friends constantly text you.
What do you do? Try to think of a few different things you could do (positive, negative, and neutral). What might the results of your actions be?

Collaboration
For a small group, each student presents their ideas to the whole class. Provide opportunity for positive feedback from peers or support if they are struggling to think of ideas.
For a larger group, divide students into small groups and have students present their ideas to the small group. Provide opportunity for positive feedback from peers or support if they are struggling to think of ideas.
