  • Introduction

Leaders seek responsibility and take responsibility for your actions. For your own growth, you must actively seek out challenging assignments. Use initiative and sound judgment when trying to accomplish jobs that are not required. Seeking responsibilities also means you take responsibility for your actions. You are responsible for all of what your team does or fails to do. Regardless of the actions of your group, the responsibility for decisions and their application falls on you. Stick by your convictions and do what you think is right but accept justified and constructive criticism. Never criticize a member of your team for a failure that is the result of your own mistake.

How might seeking responsibility help you achieve your goals?

What might be some ways to practice being responsibility this week? What might be the outcome?
